Songs and Music of Robert Burns with Laura MacKenzie

Featuring two voices with guitar, flutes, pipes, whistles, concertina and bodhran, Ross Sutter and Laura MacKenzie deliver their selection of favorite songs and song melodies from the works of the Scottish poet Robert Burns (1759-1796).

"Together these two great artists have created a monument to Burns' genius. Their treatment is gentle and precise and just bloody lovely." -- Jack Baker, Irish American News (see Press page for the complete review)

            Walking on Air

            Up the Raw

An historic album, digitally mastered in 2019 from analog tapes recorded in 1986. Walking On Air was the remarkable folk and traditional ensemble of Don Clark, Michele Delattre, Ross Sutter and Laura MacKenzie (and original member Jamie Gans) who performed regularly in St. Paul and around Minnesota in the early 1980's. This album was recorded in a small studio while seated around two microphones, and was meant to be a "farewell" album, produced on cassette tape only. It proved to be a very popular recording, reflecting the impact of this ensemble - the music and arrangements are timeless.
