Julglädje (Christmas Joy) Concert

American Swedish Institute, 2600 Park Ave., Minneapolis, MN

Songs, stories, games and smiles are the hallmarks of julglädje, translated from Swedish as “Christmas joy.” Bring the entire family to join in the fun and create memories at this annual holiday performance hosted by the popular performer Ross Sutter. Ross and his friends, Marya Hart on piano and Cheryl Paschke on nycleharpa and fiddle, play a rollicking collection of Swedish and American holiday tunes that evoke the feeling of standing around the family piano. Rose Arrowsmith DeCoux leads and invites the younger set to become a part of a creative and adventurous interactive story set to music. Other Julglädje concert dates: Saturday, December 28, 1 p.m.

Cost: $10 ASI members / $12 non-members / $5 kids 6-17 / free for kids 5 and under
